Las Piedras is a city located in the department of Canelones, Uruguay, about 22 kilometers north of the capital Montevideo.
It is a city in constant growth and has a population of around 80,000 inhabitants. The city is located near the coast of the Río de la Plata, which makes it an important tourist and port center.
Among the tourist attractions of Las Piedras are the Parque Artigas, a large green area that has sports courts and an open-air amphitheater, and the San Isidro Labrador Church, a 19th-century Catholic church with neoclassical architecture. In addition, the city is known for its wine production and has several wineries.
