Location of Young

Young is a Uruguayan city located in the department of Río Negro, in the western region of the country.

It is located about 60 km northeast of the city of Fray Bentos and about 90 km east of the city of Paysandú.

The city is located on the left bank of the Uruguay River, near the mouth of the Cuchilla Grande stream.

National Route 3 passes through the city, connecting it with other nearby cities and with the country's capital, Montevideo.
