Trinidad is a city located in the department of Flores in Uruguay, founded in the year 1804.
It is known as "La Heroica" due to the fight that the inhabitants of the city carried out against the Brazilian government during the Great War in the 19th century.
Today, you can visit the Museo Histórico Departamental de Flores to learn more about the history of the city and the region.
Other tourist attractions include the Plaza Constitución, the Cathedral of San José and the Guernica Park, where the Picasso sculpture that gives the park its name is located.
